Krista Sandor

If there’s one thing Krista Sandor knows for sure, it’s that romance saved her. After she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2015, her world turned upside down. During those difficult first days, her dear friend sent her a romance novel. That kind gesture provided the escape she needed and ignited her love of the genre. Inspired by the strong heroines and happily ever afters, Krista decided to write her own romance series. Today, she is an MS Warrior and living life to the fullest. When she’s not writing, you can find her running 5Ks and chasing after her growing boys in her adopted home of Denver, Colorado.

My Writing Process

I find many of my ideas come when I’m in the middle of a long run. I’ve been known to pull out my phone and begin typing notes as I’m jogging along the trail. As you can imagine, this can lead to running into objects (hello, giant tree) or crashing into other runners (sorry about that).

I’ve been writing stories to go along with different pieces of music for as long as I can remember. As someone who relishes time alone, much of that time is spent listening to all kinds of music from rap to pop to classical and creating stories in my head that parallel the feelings and emotions expressed in the songs.

Music plays a critical role in setting the tone for different scenes and also for character development. Romantic instrumental pieces by Helen Jane Long, George Winston, Ludovico Einaudi, and Lindsey Sterling always connect me to the characters in my books.

So, if you happen to pass me on the trail or see me writing while sipping on an extra-hot coconut chai latte, there’s a good chance I’m conversing with the characters in my head and crafting a swoon-worthy happily ever after story for you!
